On August 6th, TCNF attorney Chris Thomas joined Oregon Walks for a campaign to educate the public about Oregon crosswalk laws. Oregon Walks is an organization that advocates for safer streets for people walking. Event organizer Vivek Jeevan designed a 3 question quiz about Oregon crosswalk laws, and volunteers including Chris quizzed members of the public at the weekly downtown Portland Farmers Market. Questions included whether legal crosswalks can exist without paint on the ground, how pedestrians show their intent to proceed across a crosswalk, and whether bicyclists may ride through crosswalks.
