President Obama calls for a strengthening of Social Security

In his final State of the Union speech on Tuesday, President Obama called for a strengthening of Social Security.

While the President focused primarily on retirement benefits, it is also an important reminder that as demand grows for a means to support those unable to work but not yet of retirement age, federal action will be necessary strengthen the federal disability programs.
