If you are an Oregonian on SSD or SSI and are fighting to keep your home due to the cost of property taxes, there is a program that may be able to help you.
For seniors and Oregonians with disabilities, you can apply for the Oregon Property Tax Deferral program. In this program, eligible people will have their property taxes paid by the state, and will only have to repay this loan in a few circumstances, such as sale or transfer of the home or death.
