Each year, the staff members at STCN choose a local charity to benefit from our annual holiday fundraiser. This year we’ve selected the Community Transitional School, a terrific nonprofit private school “dedicated entirely to the needs of children whose families are homeless, in transition and experiencing chronic poverty-related crises.” The program provides flexible transportation to and from school; two healthy meals every school day; clothing and personal hygiene items; school supplies; health screenings; and summer programs. This organization serves around 200 students ages 5-14 every year.
STCN is proud to donate the proceeds of our holiday fundraiser to the Community Transitional School. We divided the office into four “teams” to raise money, and our combination of charitable and competitive spirits produced a great result. At the end of the fundraiser, our partners matched the amount we raised, doubling our donation.
