Ray Thomas, one of the founding partners of and current Personal Injury and Bicycle & Pedestrian Law attorney at Swanson, Thomas & Coon, recently underwent the Share the Road Safety Class (SRSC) without court mandate. The SRSC is a class specifically focused on traffic law and safety issues in regards to pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.
Developed for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers who have received a citation for not practicing road safety, this class enlightens participants about sharing the public right of way on the road. By covering topics such as failure to yield the right of way, use of defective equipment and non-use of safety equipment, the SRSC is teaching, promoting, and upholding safe road practices for all individuals using the road.
For those with citations, successfully completing this course will potentially lead to the dismissal or sentence of discharge for your violation. One doesn’t need to have a citation to participate in this class, as Ray Thomas has proved. Learning more about the rules of the road and how to practice road safety is something all pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists can benefit from. For more information or to learn how to register for this class, visit the Legacy Health website or call 503-413-2672.
